How to hang eucalyptus in the shower
This is super easy (even if your terrible at DIY!)
1. Simply gather some eucalyptus branches together and remove a few leaves on the end to create space on the stems for tying.
2. Tie them with a rubber band, thin rope or natural twine. You can also add a few other botanical herbs and florals like lavender to your bouquet because … it’s a spa haven right?!
3. Extra step: if needed, roll a rolling pin over the bouquet to help release the fragrance.
4. Next, securely tie or hang it on your shower head.
And that’s it. Pretty simply right?
Note: for best practice, make sure the eucalyptus isn’t directly under the water as this could irritate your skin and eyes.
How long does the eucalyptus last in the shower?
Fresh eucalyptus bundles can last for 2-5 weeks in the shower depending on the moisture in the room. Simply look out for tell-tale signs like the loss of its scent or the branches looking tired or browning. At this point it’s best to replace them with a fresh new batch!
To make your eucalyptus bundle last longer, florists suggest placing the bundle in water and trimming the stems to absorb more water. However, do not douse the whole bundle in water as this will make it lose its scent quicker!
